Life Update

It's been a while since we've posted last. Since then, a lot has happened for us. Brian is very excited for his classes to end and for spring term to start. He's been busy taking classes and working. His paper is almost done and in the final editing stages before he submits it for publication. He is starting on another one, also about marathon runners. And for the BIG news... He got accepted to BYU's Master of Sociology program beginning in August! He got a stipend of $15,750 per year. I think we might not starve. Starting at the end of April, he'll be working for a different professor studying immigration. He is really excited about that. It is more interesting than marathon running.
As for me, life is busy, but not bad. All of my major projects, papers and midterms were all due within the last two weeks, so I've been writing papers non-stop for two weeks. I am grateful Brian is a good writer because he edits all of my papers for me. My tests haven't been too stressful, its just been the fact that everything was due at once. I'm taking a break from writing a paper right now because my brain is fried. For one of my classes, we've been working with WIC to find hospital induced barriers for breastfeeding. This has been fun. We will be presenting our findings to WIC tomorrow.
I'm half way through the pregnancy right now and I'm actually enjoying it. I really like the second trimester because I'm not sick anymore, and even better, I'm not fatigued all the time. I actually feel quite normal. I think I'll just enjoy that while it lasts. My favorite part is that I can feel him move. A lot of people say it is annoying after a while, but I think it is fun. My mom sent us some baby blankets, some onesies and a sleeper today. That was a pleasant surprise! Other than that, we don't have any other news.

Glad you guys are doing well! Your paper on WIC sounds fascinating! I've been going to WIC, and they do a lot of good, but it's a frustrating system (inefficient, long waits, etc.). Anyway, good luck with everything!
