The beginning of a fun summer

Brian and I have had a fun and busy summer. We started off our summer moving 3 blocks north of our old apartment because they raised our rent. We wanted to stay in our ward, but there wasn't much housing to choose from that was cheaper and closer to campus in our ward. After deciding to just leave the ward, we got a phone call from some friends in the ward. They live in a house with 2 apartments. They decided to go home to Alaska for the summer, and the people in the back of the house weren't moving out until the beginning of August. So what did we do? We lived in the front of the house while our friends were in Alaska, and when the people in the back moved, we took their apartment. It was a nice deal. In the front of the house, they put all their stuff in one room and we got the rest of the house with money off the rent and they paid all the utilities. The back of the house is only $35 more then the sublease price in the front. Confusing? Let me make it more simple. We subleased the front of the house for super cheap, and then we moved to the back for super cheap. It was worth moving twice to get here.

When we first got here, the yard was awful. My friend had planted some flowers on one side of the porch, but other than that, it looked like crap! I decided My first project would be the yard, not unpacking. here are some pictures of the project.
